BIO AND PRESS

Neal Slavin is a photographer and movie maker. His books include PORTUGAL (Lustrum Press), WHEN TWO OR MORE ARE GATHERED TOGETHER (Farrar, Straus and Giroux) and BRITONS (Andre Deutsch – London and Aperture Books - New York). His films include FOCUS, written by Arthur Miller and starring William Macy and Laura Dern.
He continues to show in both individual and Group venues throughout the world and was represented by LIGHT GALLERY before it closed.
He has photographed for most of the major magazines around the world including THE NEW YORK TIMES MAGAZINE, ESQUIRE, FRANKFURTER ALLGEMEINE ZEITUNG, and ROLLING STONE MAGAZINE.
Commercial clients include BMW, WARNER COMMUNICATIONS, APPLE COMPUTER and THE NEW YORK STOCK EXCHANGE.
Slavin has been awarded a SILVER CUBE from THE ART DIRECTOR’S CLUB of NEW YORK, A GOLD LION in Cannes, the CORPORATE PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR AWARD from the AMERICAN SOCIETY OF MAGAZINE PHOTOGRAPHERS and the PRESIDENT’S CITATION from the COOPER UNION SCHOOL OF ART AND ARCHITECTURE in New York.
